Goofy Kiddos

The start to this new year has been great!  We are so blessed to have a healthy family, have work to do, and can find fun things to do everyday.  This year I hope to spend more time doing fun things with the family, and less time stressing.  We are off to a great start!
all it takes to make this kiddo happy is a trip to the park, or the 'why-why' (library), both things we do a LOT!
Had a fun playdate at the park with the Merks.  Roman and Gunner have finally gotten through the mortal enemy phase of their relationship, and are now inseparable when they are together.  So fun!

 Bath Time
Sophie wants nothing to do with her infant tub anymore, but the cute little thing is still a little unsteady!  This picture cracks me up, but it was the only one I could get before she faceplanted (don't worry, I have quick reflexes!)

Cute goobers getting ready for church
Roman and the Merk boys made character ornaments.  They got to pick whatever color paint they wanted for the ornament, and then a character to go on it.  Roman picked Elmo, and he chose Abby for Sophie!
These pics are from inside the Double Decker Christmas Light Tour bus!  We rode on the top (enclosed luckily or we would have frozen our tooshies off!), and went to some really cool neighborhood lights and the Temple Lights.

 Meet our new addition- Phoebe!

Santa came to our house!  Roman and Sophie loved all their new toys.  We hung out with Tommy's family on Christmas Eve, enjoyed a quiet morning at our house, and spend the afternoon at Grandma Tana and Grandpa Bill's. It was the first year Tommy had both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off work, perfect for his last Christmas working for Salt River before switching over to Mesa.  It was a wonderful, relaxing day!

Uncle Dan's birthday!  Happy 18th!  We are so glad we got to spend it with you
Sophie girl turned 7 months on Christmas Day.  Our little girl is getting so big!  She is starting to crawl, loves babbling and playing, and loves trying out new foods.  She is such a sweet girl, and continues to be a little mama's girl!  She is a little angel when she's being held, and loves to show off that dimple.

Sweet!

Fall 2012

My little girl is 5 months old already!  And, this month marks the end of my maternity leave (since Sophie was born the beginning of summer and I started my leave after that).  I was lucky to have so much time to spend with my precious littles, and I loved every second of it!

This boy could swing forever!  If we happen to stop at a park that doesn't have swings, this little guy is not a happy camper!

We love Halloween around here!  Roman had such a great time this year, and was really working hard to hone this 'Trick-or-Treat' skills, so we made sure to give him lots of practice.
We started out the festivities by crashing Brie and Jason's ward Christmas party.  They knew how to do it right!  They had carnival games for the kids, trunk or treating and a Haunted House.  The kids had so much fun running around in their costumes together!

We also attended our ward trunk or treat!  Roman dressed as a football player this year, and Sophie accompanied him as a football.  Tommy also joined in on the fun.  Can you guess what he is? ....... that's right- a cereal killer :)

Zoo Trip!

Phoenix Zoo

Over fall break, we had a fun day at the Phoenix Zoo with the Merks and Grandma Tana.  Roman LOVED the monkey exhibit, so much in fact that I turned around for a moment, and next thing I knew one of the zoo workers was yelling at Roman because he had sneaked under the rope and was going after a cute little monkey!  The monkey just looked like it needed a friend :)  Thanks for a fun day!

4 months and my birthday!

This year on my birthday, I enjoyed an awesome day with my favorite people!  Tommy and I had a fun lunch date at Joe's Farm Grill (complete with chocolate milkshakes- yum!) and my little munchkin helped me blow out the candles on my cake.  I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and kiddos!  Life couldn't get much better :)

I also got to share the day with Sophie's 4 month mark- check out my cute chubby girl!  She is really coming into her own personality.  She is very clear about letting you know what she wants, and is a mama's girl.  She loves to be held and loves being around her big brother.  Such a sweet girl!
